Vega is a pre-seed enterprise SaaS company in the aerospace and defense sector. We provide spectrum intelligence software to satellite operators, enabling them to forecast and avoid radio frequency interference. Our customers include commercial satellite operators, civil agencies and regulators, and the defense community.

About the Founder

Trent Voris holds a B.S. and M.S. in aerospace engineering from Cal Poly and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He spent three years engineering at SpaceX and then joined Astra Space where he developed mobile launchpads and Rocket 3.0 that ultimately made it to space helping the company go public in 2021. Most recently, he served as resident entrepreneur at the advanced research and development division of Leidos, leading programs for Space Force and DARPA customers.

The Role

This is a Chief of Staff role focused on business development and strategy. You will work directly with the founder on the company's highest priorities:

• Driving outbound sales and inbound marketing (SEO, AI-optimized content)
• Establishing pilot programs with satellite operators
• Supporting investor outreach and fundraising
• Developing pricing and compensation strategies
• Building the hiring pipeline for future growth
• Advising on company culture and long-term direction
• Creating AI-forward knowledge systems (wiki, messaging, templates)

This is a high-ownership position at an early-stage company. You will have direct exposure to customers, investors, and hiring decisions.

Requirements

• Current MBA candidate
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Code)
• Interest in aerospace, defense, or deep tech
• Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directed work

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial modeling in Excel (projections, cap tables, use of funds)
• Experience creating pitch decks and sales materials in PowerPoint
• Advanced proficiency with AI tools, especially Claude Code
