About the Role

We're looking for an Orbital Dynamics Intern to help build and improve our satellite propagation and analysis systems. You'll work directly with our engineering team on real problems in space situational awareness.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and validate orbit propagation algorithms
  • Work with orbital ephemeris data and coordinate transformations
  • Build visualization tools for satellite coverage analysis
  • Analyze maneuver detection and orbit determination accuracy

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Coursework in orbital mechanics or astrodynamics
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, or similar
  • Familiarity with orbital coordinate systems and reference frames
  • Strong math foundation (linear algebra, differential equations)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with astrodynamics tools or libraries
  • Knowledge of orbital perturbations (J2, drag, solar radiation pressure)
  • Previous research or internship in aerospace
